Sony's wafer-thin, Android-powered 4K TVs Launching Next Month

Even though Sony promised their X900C and X910C models to be released by spring this year, it seems that they will have to postpone their promise for a while. The 0.19 inch X900C model’s release date was rescheduled for July and is estimated to be priced at $2,499 or $3.999 for 55 and 65 inch models respectively. You need an even bigger screen? That will set you back even more and you will probably have to be patient for its release.

The good news, however, is that the screen diagonal is the only thing that will set these models apart. Each of them will come with Android TV, X1 CPU and Triluminos display, making these devices perfect for rendering your 4k video in its full glory. The only thing that remains is to determine whether this TV is worth investing in. It will undoubtedly make a splendid sight when mounted on the wall, but otherwise a ‘thicker’ TV should suffice.
